Once upon a time, in the bustling city of Bristol, a young and ambitious Dan Richards was eager to make his mark in the world of animation. After graduating from the prestigious Bristol School of Animation, Dan was determined to learn from the best and landed himself a gig with the legendary Aardman Animations. It was here that he honed his craft and perfected his skills, working tirelessly to create memorable characters and tell captivating stories.
However, Dan knew that he had something special to offer the animation world, and he decided to take a leap of faith and start his own animation studio. And so, in 2007, A+C was born. Armed with his passion, talent, and a small team of dedicated artists, Dan set out to create magic in the form of stop-motion animation.
Our first commercial project was a hit, and it wasn’t long before A+C became one of the UK’s leading stop-motion animation studios. With a reputation for producing stunning visuals and captivating stories, they quickly gained a loyal following of fans and clients alike.
But Dan wasn’t content to rest on his laurels. He knew there was always room for growth and improvement and was determined to take A+C to new heights. And so, in early 2023, he made a bold move and expanded his studio, taking on talented animation directors and planning for a new dedicated animation space.
