We’re looking for an Operations Manager ideally from within the creative industries who’d like to join our team at our animation studio by the seaside. We hand make puppets and shoot animation and would like someone to help us with operations and logistics for fit-out as we move into our new larger studio space. 

As part of our growth initiative, we’re on the lookout for the right person to take ownership of our new studios development. We’re looking for someone practical who can be the conductor between our build contractors and our creative team. 

The role will be perfect for an experienced Operations Manager who will be ambitious about spearheading a creative studio and implementing the business’s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for administering projects, seeking opportunities and supporting growth plans to ensure the future smooth running of our operations.

Studio Management 

  • Management of studio facilities: working with the building project manager to ensure smooth running and development of our new studio build. The operations manager will work to facilitate the correct occupation and oversee the production space. 
  • Monitoring and management of studio build budgets and expenditure. 
  • Project management: oversee the full life cycle of the studio build and ensure key milestones are met within deadlines.
  • Resource management: allocating studio resources to ensure the team has what it needs to deliver work on time and to a high standard. Organising annual leave requests, sickness and recruitment opportunities across teams. 
  • Resourcing and implementing new operational systems and ongoing research into finding ways to streamline processes across the production office and studios. 
  • Research and development of industry funding and partnership opportunities.
  • Continue to build and nurture relationships with our education partners. 

 

About You

  • 3+ years operational experience, ideally in the film, creative or television sector. 
  • Experience of business relocation and studio development.
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Excellent people and communication skills with the ability to communicate externally with partners and contractors and across teams internally. 
  • A can-do attitude and experience working with creative teams.

We’re looking for a passionate, creative digital marketing manager who’d like to join our team by the seaside promoting our animation studio. We hand-make puppets and shoot animation in our beautiful Victorian building and would like someone who feels they can tell the world about what we do.

As part of our growth initiative, we’re on the lookout for the right person to implement our new strategy and take ownership of our digital marketing plan. We’re looking for someone practical who can create content, keep our website updated, curate social channels and grow awareness of what we do at A+C.

What we’d like you to be doing:

  • Marketing Strategy: We are looking for someone to help craft future strategies.
  • Social Content: Manage and maintain our content across channels.
  • Website: Update the website using WordPress.
  • Research & Report: Measure and report the performance of all marketing.
  • Email Marketing: Managing mailing lists and implementing campaigns.
  • Content writing: Writing copy and developing a voice to represent the studio.

 

About You

  • 3+ years experience working in digital marketing.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads, social channels including Instagram and LinkedIn, email campaign monitoring, and WordPress.
  • The ability to work with external partners including our website development and SEO team.
  • A working and up-to-date knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • A can-do attitude and experience working with sales teams.
  • The right to work in the UK.

About Us

A+C Studios is an animation studio that creates content for international advertising agencies and brands. We have over 17 years of experience producing short-form content and have plans to move into long-form animated feature films and TV series. We’re a young, passionate and innovative team, pushing the boundaries of stop-motion animation based by the seaside in Margate.



We’re looking for an experienced Animation Producer with at least 3 years of short-from/long form animation production experience, ideally stop-motion animation.  We’re looking for someone to hit the ground running in the planning and managing of our commercial and long-form productions.

We’re looking for someone who’d be comfortable working for a young and progressive production studio down by the sea and with a high drive and ambition for high-quality productions. Someone who has experience working with production crew, talent, and can understand the budgeting and scheduling process. Overseeing the QC’ing and delivery of production files will be one of the key roles. 

This is an exciting position, within a fast-paced studio environment, for anyone with a love of creative project management. The Producers are the key link between our creative team and our clients and are the driving force ensuring the successful delivery of animation projects on budget and on time.

What we’d like you to be doing;
– Supporting the Senior Producers and Directors during pitches and pre-production meetings.
– Manage incoming briefs/scripts and outgoing quote proposals, including; discussing creative execution with the Directors, preparing budgets and schedules, and client/agency communications
– Recruitment and management of freelance creative crew working on a project-by-project basis.
– Ensure project requirements are fully communicated to all creative staff and are adhered to during production.
– Contribute to creative and problem-solving discussions
-Ensure productions are delivered with all assets, including all versions checked for quality control.

About You

  • Three years experience working within animation, advertising or film production
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in animation, creative production, and advertising.
  • You will be a highly organised person with good communication skills who enjoys problem-solving.
  • Understanding the creative process is essential (but specific creative skills are not required), enabling you to discuss creative problems and solutions with clients/agencies and creative staff.
  • Production is a fast-paced industry, so an ability to work under pressure and react quickly to client and team requests is important. To achieve this, you will need to be a team player that can learn and adapt quickly and is willing to muck in when required.
  • The role will require the candidate to work from A+C’s Margate production studio, Monday to Friday and 09:30-18:00.

If you are a freelance animator, model maker, model painter, animation set builder, fabricator or art director? A+C Studios would LOVE to hear from you. We have some exciting projects on our slate and we’re very close to putting out calls to assemble our teams. Equally, our design and post-production departments are likely to need some support with everything on our slate, so freelance illustrators, 2D animators, clean-up artists, and editors please do reach out.

We’ll have a range of opportunities available… single day hires, week-long & month-long positions and seasonal contracts. We’re able to cater to people to commute into our Margate studios and work remotely, where possible. Equally, our team can help you secure short-to-medium-term accommodation in the local area, if you’re based further afield so you can spend your mornings and evenings taking in Kent’s historic Thanet coastline, whilst spending your days at the amazing A+C Studios.
