Housed in a converted Cliftonville warehouse five minutes from Margate’s main beach, Postgate offers 5000 sq ft of clear span floor beneath a 5.5 m pre-rigged grid. The footprint supports high-end commercials, narrative drama blocks, green-screen pickups, music videos and full-service stills campaigns.
We named the stage after Oliver Postgate, the Kent-based animator behind Bagpuss and The Clangers, because he proved world-class craft can thrive outside the capital. Founder Dan Richards explains the ethos: “Oliver built classics in a garden shed. We built a shed with headroom and three-phase power. It lets a puppet unit, a live-action crew and a stills team shoot in parallel then pass assets straight to post.”

Transparent pricing and how to book
Productions need clear numbers before they scout a location. Our dry-hire rate starts at £995 per day. That covers exclusive access to the stage, production office, kitchen, secure storage, Wi-Fi, three-phase power and house lights.
We also offer individual bay hire for £250 per day.
Need more? Anything A+C doesn’t have, Emmyland will be able to offer.
Want crew? Add wet-hire. A stop-motion supervisor, a motion-control operator, a colourist, a live-stream TD, an on-site editor. Each at day or week rates. Long-form drama blocks, multi-week animation runs or feature docs receive scaled prices that respect your duration.
