Nat Geo
Get ready to embark on an epic journey with National Geographic WILD as they bring big cats into the spotlight once again. With a thrilling array of brand-new documentaries featuring all types of big cats from around the world, viewers are in for a wild ride.
To make this experience even more immersive, Disney approached us with the exciting task of printing individual frames of big cats onto cards with stunning, textured backgrounds. The goal? To create gorgeous imagery that would surround these majestic animals and transport viewers straight into their world.
Our team at A+C was thrilled to take on this challenge. We started by rotoscoping the subjects from the original footage, carefully isolating them and preparing them for their debut on the card. Next, we printed these cutouts onto a vibrant red background, and precisely cut each one to shape, ensuring that every detail was captured perfectly.
With our card cutouts complete, it was time to animate them on a green screen, using hand models and a glass top-down rig to create dynamic silhouettes. The result was a series of high-energy shots that perfectly captured the beauty and power of these magnificent creatures.
Finally, we dropped these stunning animations into urban imagery, creating a fast-paced and impactful final film that celebrates the majesty of big cats in all their glory. So sit back, relax, and get ready to be transported into the wild world of big cats on National Geographic WILD.
