Our Process — A Seamless Journey from Brief to Delivery

Most studios talk about creativity; we obsess over the discipline of the production process, because that is what keeps your project—and your reputation—safe.

No guesswork. No surprises. Just a clear, collaborative process designed around how agency producers and in-house teams actually work.

Here is how we take you from first conversation to final file.

  • 1. Creative Brief & Consultation More

We start with a short discovery call. We align on objectives, audiences, mandatories and budget range. You’ll meet your dedicated producer, your single point of contact who keeps everything moving. We advise on format, outputs and timelines, including multi-platform cut-downs, so you can plan with confidence. An NDA is available on request.

  • 2. Storyboarding & Pre-Visualisation More

We translate your idea into boards, animatics and look-frames. You will see character and set design proposals, colour scripts and lighting references. Approval gates are clear and scheduled in advance. Where helpful, we produce camera tests or tabletop motion tests, including Dragonframe workflows and motion-control planning. No surprises at this stage or any other.

  • 3. In-House Production & Animation More

With multiple shooting units, our model-makers, armature specialists and animators build, light and animate in our studios (including the 5,000 sq. ft Postgate Stage). We manage live action inserts and mixed-media integration (combining stop-motion with live footage or 2D graphics) if required. You’ll receive regular progress packs and clear updates so stakeholders can sign off without delay.

  • 4. Post-Production & Finishing More

Our editors and compositors handle clean-up, visual effects integration (VFX), grade, sound design and voiceover. We manage brand approvals and compliance. We create all masters and social variants in the ratios, durations and captioned versions your markets need. Clear QC and delivery checklists give you peace of mind throughout.

  • 5. Delivery & Aftercare More

We deliver the final product in the exact specs your media plan requires. Need future cut-downs or language versions? We archive assets securely and can rapidly re-open projects for updates.

Our Capabilities — Specialist Animation for Every Platform

We are a stop frame animation studio serving London and Kent that producers rely on for high-end craft and dependable delivery. Our specialism is stop-motion. But the applications are broad.

It is not about choosing a technique. It is about choosing the right narrative tool for the job. We consult with you to find the style that best delivers on your campaign’s creative and commercial goals. Then we produce it entirely in-house.

  • Animation for Brands More

    • TV commercials (TVCs): Premium, characterful films for broadcast and streaming that your client can proudly share.
    • Product animation: Tactile demos that lift click-through and watch-through on paid social.
    • Campaign toolkits: Masters with platform-ready cut-downs (1:1, 9:16, 16:9, 4:5) and language versions. One brief, every format covered.
  • Handcrafted Styles More

    • Claymation: Warm, expressive character work that builds emotional connection. Ideal for brand campaigns that need warmth and personality.
    • Puppet animation: High-precision performance with replacement faces and armatures. Perfect for character-led storytelling at broadcast quality.
    • Papercraft & tabletop: Graphic, design-forward spots with playful transitions and reveals. Great  for social-first campaigns that need to stand out in feed.
  • Mixed-Media & Live Action More

    • Mixed-media integration: Combine stop-motion with typography, 2D or 3D overlays, or live plates. Ideal when you need a modern, hybrid look inside a broader campaign.
    • Live action support: Tabletop hero shots, practical effects and miniature builds. Ideal when you need practical stop-motion hero shots inside a live-action campaign.

All production happens in-house. From model-making and set design to post-production. That gives you tighter control over quality, timing and budget.

From high-end TV commercials to thumb-stopping social content, our in-house specialists craft the perfect style for your project.

What Producers Say

“We came to A+C with a script deemed too ambitious to deliver for the budget and timings available. They immediately said it could be done without compromising the original vision of the films and delivered a treatment which was absolutely spot on, sailing through the approvals process. Things kept on the same course from that point on, with little to no feedback required throughout the entire process – allowing us to enjoy a number of very enjoyable day trips to Margate in a stress-free environment.” — Producer, UK Agency

Mini Case Snapshots: Challenge → Solution → Result

Tight timeline, premium finish → We split across multiple units, used motion‑control for repeatable moves and kept daily approvals. Outcome: Delivered masters and social variants on schedule.

Complex product storytelling → Built modular sets and animated interchangeable props for rapid iteration. Outcome: Clear demos that boosted watch‑through on paid social.

Mixed-media brand world → Integrated stop‑motion with type and 2D accents for a modern look. Outcome: Cohesive toolkit across TV, digital and OOH.
